Chris Sligh, the curly headed contestant from South Carolina who was voted off "American Idol" this week, said he considered quitting the show two weeks before viewers sent him packing.
"I never came into this wanting to win it," Sligh told The Greenville News on Thursday. "I made the Top Ten. That was my goal."
Sligh said he decided not to quit because the top 10 contestants participate in an "American Idol" summer tour that comes with a nice paycheck.
"I wanted to make the tour," he said. "I wanted to be able to make music for my living, so I don't have to work at the marketing company that I was working at."
Sligh also talked to the News about being kicked out of the Christian fundamentalist college, Bob Jones University, for attending a contemporary Christian concert featuring the group 4Him.
He enrolled at another Christian school, North Greenville University, and is three credits shy of a music degree.
Leaving Bob Jones "was actually good, because I had been trying to figure out how to leave," he said.
Sligh is scheduled to appear on the show's May 24 finale. But for now he plans to return home to his wife and his church, where hundreds of people gather each week to hear him play his electric guitar and sing as part of services.
"I definitely am looking forward to getting back home and kind of having a normal life for a few weeks," he said.
Victoria Beckham and David Beckham are still looking for a home in the U.S. - but don’t think they’ll overpay on their mortgage just because they’re famous!
The couple refuses to get screwed on a house whose price has been jacked up simply because the famous pair and her huge breasts are in the market.
“It’s pretty hard to keep identities secret when you are interested in multimillion-dollar mansions,” a source close to the Beckhams said.
“Once sellers find out who’s interested in buying, the prices immediately skyrocket. It’s ridiculous.”
As a result, says the source, “Victoria and David have still not decided on a house for when they move to L.A. They refuse to pay above the odds just because they are famous.”
In January it was announced that the David Beckham would move to California after the former English soccer captain, 31, signed a lucrative five-year deal with the L.A. Galaxy - which apparently exists.
Since then, Victoria Beckham, a.k.a. Posh Spice, 32, has made several trips to the west coast to check on possible homes for themselves and private schools for their sons Brooklyn, 8, Romeo, 4 and Cruz, 2.
Although schools have been narrowed down, the family is struggling to find a suitable mansion. Britney Spears is currently experiencing the same thing!
“They will definitely buy in or around Beverly Hills. It makes sense for them,” a pal says. “But they will not pay excess prices purely because of who they are. They’re careful with money.”
Reps for the couple were not immediately available for comment.
“They don’t want to get stuck in a bidding war. One mansion recently went up by millions as soon as the owner found out the Beckhams were interested,” says the source. “The problem is they need a big house.”
Doesn’t Tom Cruise have guest quarters or a pool house or something?
One thing’s for sure - wherever they land will be recorded for TV cameras, since Posh has signed to star in a six-part, NBC reality show that will coincide with the family’s move to L.A.
“They have a lot of work to do before David finishes playing soccer in Spain,” says the source. “Their house in Madrid needs to be sold before they move in July.”
Otherwise, they could get saddled with two mortgages. Which is a concern every relocating homeowner faces. No clue how they’d be able to afford that on his $50 million salary. Maybe with a bridge loan?
300 actress Lena Headey was diagnosed with clinical depression as a teenager, and still suffers from the condition. Headey, whose school days were "really hard", blames her troubled childhood for triggering her continuing depression.
She says, "I was diagnosed when I was 15, and it comes and goes. I may suffer from it once or twice a year, but I now recognize it and deal with it. I don't use medication because I'm so worried about becoming dependent on it, but I can understand people who do, because you do go through the most horrendous feelings of isolation."
The 33-year-old star, who once ran away from home as a teen, occasionally has suicidal thoughts today. She says, "When the depression comes, it's very intense and you can't see beyond it."
Ashlee Simpson has given sister Jessica's romance with guitarist John Mayer the thumbs up, insisting the Daughters singer is "great" for the divorced blonde. Simpson and Mayer have reportedly been an item for the past eight months, despite initial denials they were dating.
The couple recently enjoyed a romantic vacation in Rome, Italy together and Ashlee Simpson insists her big sister is very happy with her new man.
A pal tells People magazine, "Ashlee loves John. She thinks he is great for her. More importantly, Jess is happy."
Meanwhile, celebrity pal Christina Milian is thrilled for the couple: "This is a relationship that's not for the cameras. It's not about celebrity. It seems like they truly have an attraction to each other."
Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry has backed a British newspaper's anti-racism campaign. The star, who was racially abused during her childhood, is in full support of the Daily Mirror's Hope Not Hate campaign.
She says, "The Mirror's campaign is to be supported. I experienced racism when I was a child. It was difficult being one of the only black children in an all-white school of 1,500. I believe in diversity. It is only ignorance that allows us to stay at odds with each other."
Marie Osmond and husband Brian Blosil are divorcing after 20 years of marriage, the pair announced Friday. Osmond, 47, and Blosil, a record producer, have eight children, some of whom are adopted. The two married in a Mormon ceremony in October 1986, and briefly separated in 2000.
"Though our marriage is ending, we continue to have a very amicable relationship. Our marriage has always been a faithful one and neither of us is assigning fault for the divorce," they said in a statement released by Osmond's publicist.
"Our children, as always, are our top priority and in our deep love for them we will continue to jointly fulfill our roles as active parents in their daily lives," they said.
Osmond earned fame at age 13 with the hit song "Paper Roses," and starred with her brother, Donny Osmond, on television's "Donny and Marie Show" during the 1970s.
She and her first husband Stephen Craig divorced in 1985.
Osmond also owns a successful collectibles doll company.
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline reached a divorce settlement Thursday, T.H. Gossip has learned.
“The parties signed a global settlement on all issues of their marriage and the custody of the children,” Michael Sands, a spokesman for Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, tells People.
The deal was worked out in five-hour meeting in the Los Angeles high-rise offices of Spears’ attorney, Laura Wasser. At the bargaining table were Spears, Wasser, Kaplan and FedEx.
Details of the agreement haven’t been released, but a source close to the couple tells Us Weekly that reports of a $1 million settlement and a “50/50″ custody agreement are “inaccurate.”
On the afternoon of March 29, Britney Spears left her Beverly Hills home in a black Escalade with her bodyguard and arrived at Wasser’s Century City office.
Kevin Federline arrived in a white Chevy Yukon 20 minutes later with two bodyguards and parked in in the underground garage in the same building.
At one point during the meeting, K-Fed went outside to smoke a cigarette, yo, and was joined by Britney.
“They had a 15-minute conversation,” Sands said.
Wonder if it involved some of the stuff Isaac Cohen said about her. Regardless, the pact comes just days after Spears left rehab on March 20, after just under a month in detox.
Spears and Federline got married in September 2004 in a surprise ceremony and soon settled into a Malibu mansion. The couple had two sons, Sean Preston in September 2005 and Jayden James in September 2006. For a time, all was well. But Spears filed for divorce on November 7, 2006, irreconcilable differences being cited as the primary reason. In a temporary agreement, Spears had custody of the boys with three days of visitation for Federline.
The singer began months of hard partying in New York, Miami, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, hooking up for awhile with Paris Hilton and deciding panties were just too constricting.
She initially defended her partying as long-overdue fun, but by January, her manager, Larry Rudolph, acknowledged she was having a rough time.
After a wild weekend in which she shaved her head, Britney Spears entered rehab at Promises, where she stayed for about four weeks. K-Fed, who took care of Sean and Jayden during her treatment, declined to return custody to Brit until he was satisfied with her rehab.
According to the reports, Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio and his girlfriend Bar Refaeli are reportedly planning to marry earlier than previously rumored. Rumors say that Leonardo and Bar have got engaged during their recent trip to visit Bar’s family in Israel and that the couple will marry in a private ceremony in Israel before having a second celebration in the US.
The reason they made the trip to Israel is that Leo wanted to get Bar’s parents’ approval before he popped the question. Now they are busy making wedding plans. Although it may be a bit of a rush, they’re thinking about getting married this June. That’s when Bar turns 22. Leo and Bar are ecstatic, as are both their families. Bar’s mom and dad think Leo’s a total gentleman and love the way he’s treated their daughter.

Former Malcolm In The Middle star Frankie Muniz has turned his back on acting to concentrate on a career as a professional Champ Car driver. The speed-loving star is starting from the back of the grid at the upcoming Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach in California (April 13-15), where he'll compete for a win in the Champ Car Atlantic Series.
Race spokeswoman Sherry Perez says, "He's (Muniz) had such success as an actor at such a young age, and now it's almost like he's starting over again... as a race car driver."
The child star is sporting a new Mohawk haircut as he attempts to be taken seriously as a member of the Jensen MotorSport team. Muniz raced for Jensen MotorSport in the 2006 Formula BMW USA series. The Long Beach Grand Prix has happy memories for Muniz - he won the Toyota Pro/Celebrity race at the three-day event in 2005.
It’s official this time, R&B Celebrity Usher has finally given a statement to MTV saying he is engaged to his long term girlfriend and stylist Tamika Foster and plans to marry by the end of the year. This news is no surprise for our readers as we already wrote about their unconfirmed (at that time) romance. One month ago we were writing about what The New York Post revealed: “it’s 100 percent official. She is wearing a beautiful ring and he’s been introducing her as his fiancée.” The couple, Usher and Tameka have been hiding their romance for over a year and are now they were ready to make it public announcing their wedding.
But is Usher a responsible man? Maybe there is a baby on the way.. but I can’t still see him as a good husband. Usher’ new album will be out in stores by November and it’s probable going to coincide with his wedding. Apparently Tamika’ own mission is to hit the fashion scene with her own designs..
According to Daily Mail news, Angelina Jolie’s brother James Haven has said he believes her sister is helping people because of their father (Jon Voight) bad behavior as they were growing up. Angelina Jolie has not spoken to Voight since he said that he thought she had “serious mental problems”, shortly after her split from Billy Bob Thornton in 2002. As a recall, though Jon Voight has reportedly asked Angelina Jolie to forget about the past and to let him into her life so also allow him to share the happiness as he wishes to be an active grandfather, Hollywood Celebrity Angelina Jolie has given up on recommunicating with her estranged father, because being with him makes her feel miserable and she doesn’t need him in her life.
I have no memory at all of my mother shouting at me or at my sister. But I do have horrible memories of my father and the way he behaved. He was so tough on our mother. He lived in the same town. We saw him around Christmas time or at school recitals. He was always around but he never did his job as a father. I think one of the reasons Angelina and I care so much for other people is his treatment of our mother. Angelina and I were very protective of her for that reason.
- James Haven told the Daily Mail recently -
Rocker Courtney Love has stunned fans by showing off her slimline new look on a beach in Hawaii, and she claims to have lost 44 pounds in four months. The former Hole star was photographed in a fetching bikini while vacationing and, in a new website posting, Love claims she's not done losing weight yet.
Writing on her own site, MoonWashedRose.com, Love explains she has "six more maybe 11 more to go". The singer/actress' representative claims Love's drastic weight loss is the result of careful dieting and yoga.
A representative tells Us Weekly magazine the rocker is following a macrobiotic diet, eating lots of vegetables and fish, and doing yoga and exercise to meet her weight loss goals.
Meanwhile, in the new posting on her website, Love also attempts to clear up rumors about a nose job. She reveals she has her "old nose" back, writing, "I hated that nosejobby nose, it was like a little beak. (Now it) looks like the one God gave me, so I'm happy not to have crazy lips and a crazy teensy unnatural little nose."

You see, Michael Corcoran is a music critic in Austin, Texas. Supposedly, he knows a lot about the industry as Lauren Conrad knows about fashion.
So he obviously despises Sanjaya Malakar, right? Right?!? Actually …
“My ears and eyes must be deceiving me; Sanjaya is not bad at all. From what I heard on Howard Stern and all the piling on in the office on Wednesday mornings, the kid was this year’s William Hung, a big joke that he wasn’t in on,” the critic somehow sad.
“But I called up a couple of his performances on YouTube and he sang on pitch, had a cool look and seemed to be having a blast. Huge careers have been built on less.”“Stop making this 17-year-old kid your scapegoat, you Sanjaya-hatas. I mean, aren’t you the people that gave us the indistinguishable Taylor Hicks? Without Sanjaya, this would be one of the most forgettable [American Idol] seasons.”
Corcoran makes a decent point. But he’s obviously forgotten that Antonella Barba photos have already made this a memorable season of the FOX show.
And if Haley Scarnato continues to sing well and be hot, you never know what the American Idol future will bring.
As the King of Pop looks to reclaim his spot atop the music world, it seems he may have to do so while feeling under the weather. However, while reports have circled the Internet about a possible World Tour, the only thing Michael Jackson is focused on is getting healthy. Rumors have circulated that Michael Jackson was admitted to hospital earlier today, but while the singer is feeling under the weather, Jackson's publicist has vehemently denied the rumors that the singer is in hospital with pneumonia.
Raymone Bain, the publicist for Michael Jackson, did acknowledge that some members of Michael Jackson's entourage did fall ill after a recent trip to Europe. However, Bain denied that the King of Pop was at a hospital seeking treatment. Rather, Bain said that Michael Jackson was currently at his Las Vegas home, where he is conducting business meetings. The BBC quoted Raymone Bain, as she said of Michael Jackson, "He was a little under the weather when he returned from Europe. Bain added that, "He probably had a bad cold or the flu. But he was never hospitalized."
As the rumors grew about Michael Jackson's mysterious illness, Internet reports began to surface, which indicated Jackson was suffering from a bout of pneumonia. As the rumors continued to gain momentum, a reporter from Access Hollywood asked Raymone Bain about the rumors that Michael Jackson had pneumonia, to which Bain replied, "Michael Jackson is not currently in the hospital, nor has he been hospitalized with pneumonia."
Access Hollywood quoted Bain, who then continued to say, "M.J. is not hospitalized. I spoke to him a couple of hours ago, and he was at home conducting meetings." Bain went on to describe the sickness with Michael Jackson's entourage, as she said, "M.J. is not hospitalized. I spoke to him a couple of hours ago, and he was at home conducting meetings."
News of Michael Jackson's mysterious illness comes shortly after it had been reported the "Thriller" singer was ready to launch a World Tour. As E Online describes it, the Vegas Eye Web site was the first to report that Michael Jackson would be launching a worldwide Live Forever tour at the Luxor hotel in Las Vegas on June 10, and that lucky fans in attendance would be offered a free meet and greet. As an official-looking invitation circled the Internet on Thursday, TMZ quoted Raymone Bain, who called the whole World Tour deal a "fraud."

Some singers take two-year breaks between albums. Rihanna is working on her third disc, just two years after releasing her first.
"It's a nonstop pace, very speedily, and Def Jam does not play, that's all I can tell you," she joked of her record label in an interview with The Associated Press. "We just keep going and going - it's fun, we make sure that we have fun while we do it."
The hits are likely to keep coming and coming for the 19-year-old Barbados beauty, who has had success with "S.O.S.,""Unfaithful" and "Break It Off." Her new single, "Umbrella," was due out Thursday, the first song from her upcoming, not-yet-titled album, set for release June 5.
"It shows such growth for her as an artist," Def Jam President Shawn Carter, better known as Jay-Z, told the AP. "If you listen to the lyrics to that song, you know the depth and how far she's come."
Jay-Z delivers the opening salvo on the dramatic song, about the strength of a relationship.
Rihanna said the song can be about a romantic or platonic relationship.
"'Umbrella' is a serious song, a relationship song. ... It's different, and that's what I love about it," she said. "People are not going to expect a song like that from me."
The singer made her debut with island-flavored dance groove "Pon de Replay" in 2005, from her debut album, "Music of the Sun." Less than a year later, she released "A Girl Like Me," a platinum success that broadened her mainstream appeal.
Artists usually don't release another album so quickly, especially when they're having success with their current one. But Island Def Jam Chairman Antonio "LA" Reid said Rihanna's upcoming album, which features labelmate Ne-Yo and a song written by Justin Timberlake, is being released this summer because the label feels it's that good.
"In the past, Rihanna has made really great singles. This time, Rihanna has not only made really great singles, but a great album," he told AP. "We want people to hear it now and experience it now."
But fans may be surprised by what they hear.
"My sound has changed," Rihanna said. "It's a lot edgier than the rest of the stuff that anyone has heard from me before. I'm singing about different things, it's a lot sexier."
She also considers the album more adult, reflecting the quick growth she's had to do in her short time in the spotlight.
"This business really helps you to find out who you are, and how strong you are," she said. "You need strength and determination with all the negativity coming at you sometimes ... I've grown a lot."
Part of the negativity Rihanna has faced involved talk of an alleged affair with mentor Jay-Z. Rihanna said the rumor was upsetting but she's learned not to let the gossip mill get her down.
"At first I was like, 'Ha ha, it's funny,'" she said. "Now I just ignore it and I'm numb to it. ... You cannot stop people from saying what they want to say."
Kirsten Dunst has left the US to live with rocker Johnny Borrell, it has been claimed.
The 'Spider-Man 3' actress has reportedly moved into the Razorlight frontman's North London home.
Kirsten, 24, watched her lover perform at London's Voice Of Slavery concert on Sunday (25.03.07), and the pair were later seen partying at North London pub The Hawley Arms.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "This relationship is the real thing. She has been following him around like a lovesick puppy.
"She flew to Texas to join him at the SXSW festival then the band returned to Britain. But they hated being apart and on Friday she flew to London and is staying in his flat.
"No one is sure how long she will be here for. She is filming in Europe soon so she could be in London a fair bit."
Kirsten met Johnny earlier this month after she watched his band performing in Los Angeles.
They were later seen kissing at the SXSW festival in Texas and dirty dancing at the Blender House party.
Johnny, 26, reportedly finished his relationship with his long-term British girlfriend to be with Kirsten.
artin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio are set to team up again.
The pair will be reunited after their 'The Departed' Oscar success on new film 'The Wolf of Wall Street'.
DiCaprio will play Jordan Belfort, in the true-life story of a corrupt Wall Street stockbroker sentenced to four years in prison and fined $110 million before turning government witness.
The film will be adapted from Belfort's autobiography, who is still $75 million in debt.
The Hollywood pair worked together on gangster film 'The Departed', which earned Scorsese the 2006 Academy Award for Best Director.
They also collaborated on box office hits 'The Aviator' and 'Gangs Of New York'.
It is unclear when production will begin as both Scorsese and DiCaprio have numerous projects already lined up.
DiCaprio will spend the summer shooting 'Revolutionary Road' with Kate Winslet.
Scorsese is directing a documentary spanning the career of The Rolling Stones and an adaptation of children's book 'The Invention of Hugo Cabret'.
Scorsese and DiCaprio are also due to work together on biopic 'The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt'.
Nicole Kidman has denied rumors that she was pregnant in the past, but they've started again after reports surfaced this week that the Australian actress is reportedly expecting her first child after undergoing months of fertility treatments with her husband, Keith Urban. Nicole Kidman has two adopted children with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise, but if she is pregnant it would be a first for the Oscar-winning star of The Hours, The Interpreter, and Cold Mountain. Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman were married in June of last year and the couple has been the focus of a lot of tabloid stories because of Keith's battle with alcohol problems, one that led him into rehab for much of their marriage to date.
Now, everything seems to be happy for Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. A friend that's reportedly close to the couple told Australia's Women's Day magazine, "Nicole and Keith are having a baby. They've been riding on clouds since they got the news. Nicole's been hoping for this day since they got married. Everyone knows she's been aching to have a baby. It's all she's been talking about for ages."
Keith Urban has made it through rehab and has told the press that marrying Nicole Kidman was the best thing he had ever done in his life. He's quoted by ANI as saying, "As far as being a married man, it is the best thing I have ever done. And it is not just about being married; to me, it is about being married to her, to that woman because she has just saved my life - absolutely saved it. Everything happens for a reason so the timing of that (rehab) was divinely inspired."
Nicole Kidman has two other children, daughter Isabella and son Connor, that she adopted with Tom Cruise. WENN reports that Keith Urban hardly gets to see those kids because they live with their father, Tom Cruise and spend most of their time with him. Keith Urban says that he gets along well with Isabella and Connor but that location is the problem. He tells the news service, "I don't get to see the kids as much as probably a lot of stepdads would, but it is a good relationship." In the same story, Keith Urban goes on to say how much he'd like to have kids with Nicole Kidman, "I am looking forward to fatherhood. I have always wanted to be a good dad. My brother's got two kids and he's an excellent dad and I think we both have that sense of being home and being solid family guys."
The 39-year-old Nicole Kidman has a ton of highly anticipated projects on the horizon, including three high profile projects this year. The first is Margot at the Wedding with Jack Black and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Next, fans of Nicole Kidman will catch her in The Invasion with Daniel Craig and the highly anticipated adaptation of His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass.

Activist actor Sean Penn hit out at President George W. Bush at an anti-war rally in California on Saturday, calling on the leader to be held accountable for the situation in Iraq. The Oscar-winning star told 800 people in Oakland's Grand Lake Theatre to do what they can to stop the Bush administration.
He said, "You (Bush) and the smarmy pundits in your pocket - those who bathe in the moisture of your soiled and blood-soaked underwear - can take that noise and shove it. Let's unite not only in stopping this war, but in holding this administration accountable."
Eva Longoria looked fabulous emerging from Ken Paves’ salon this weekend (though she's moving a tad beyond brunette -- I think we'll call it BLACK!). We asked her if she was excited about her upcoming wedding, and she responded with a simple “yes.” Eva grabbed some food to go from Cafe Med and was on her way (to a wicca meeting, a seance, who knows) ...
Spanish actress Penelope Cruz is going out of her way to keep her new romance with Josh Hartnett out of prying eyes after enjoying public affairs with TOM CRUISE and MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY.
The VOLVER star and her actor beau fled from trendy Los Angeles restaurant El Coyote on 21 March (07) after learning all private rooms were taken.
Cruz and Hartnett then showed up at another top restaurant, The Little Door, where they asked for the restaurant's secluded Blue Room, according to In Touch magazine.
A waiter tells the publication the couple left through separate doors, but "before they went, they kissed goodbye," adding "they were touchy-feely all night, holding hands and kissing... They were cute."
Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo carting off some kiddy paraphernalia from the chic Beverly Hills baby store Petit Tresor over the weekend. And Vanessa's waist is looking a little thicker around the middle, I think -- WTF?! Would Nick do that?!

Socialite Paris Hilton lost her virginity to TV producer AARON SPELLING's son RANDY, according to the former SUNSET BEACH star himself.
The 26-year-old actor, who co-starred with his former flame in the 2006 straight-to-video movie PLEDGE THIS!, claims they had sex together when Hilton was just 15 - three years shy of the legal age of consent in California.
Randy tells the New York Daily News, "We were together for like two months.
"We went to Palm Springs once for the weekend, and we couldn't check into the hotel under her name because her grandma was looking for her.
"She was like 15; I was 17. And what do you know, I hear this knock-knock-knock on the door, and I look out and her grandma's there. And then I look out the window and I see Paris in a full-on dress with a suitcase running down the golf course. We broke up like a week later."
Randy said he recently bumped into Hilton at a Los Angeles nightclub, and she has a special place in her heart for him.
He enthuses, "She came up to me and she was like, 'I want to say hi to Randy.' She was like, 'Randy took my virginity. I want to say hi.'"
Randy's SONS OF HOLLYWOOD reality TV co-star DAVID WEINTRAUB, adds, "Randy was Paris' number one and her number 50 and number 150."
Just a couple of days out of rehab and Britney Spears is back in the hospital again. Reports are circulating in the press that the pop princess, who recently completed a stint at the Promises rehab facility in Malibu, was seen entering an L.A. hospital on Sunday.
According to TMZ, the "Toxic" singer was admitted to the Century City Medical Plaza on Sunday for a toothache. Since Britney Spears checked out of the Promises rehab facility last week, she's been shadowed by the media and when the story was initially reported, the headlines read, "Britney Hospitalized", raising speculation that she had suffered a relapse. Quickly putting the rumors to rest, Britney Spears representative, Larry Rudolph, released a statement saying, "Reports Britney was hospitalized are all wrong. She just went to the dentist. She had a toothache. I have no more details."
TMZ also received news from a source who revealed that even though Britney Spears appeared fine when she arrived at the Century City Medical Plaza and smiled for photographers, the singer was in a great deal of pain. "She was smiling for the cameras, but the moment she got into the elevators she was complaining to her bodyguards that it was unfair her tooth was broken, and she couldn't take painkillers."
Access Hollywood dishes that the initial reports of Britney Spears' hospitalization led some gossip Web sites to report that a bodyguard had taken Spears to an ER at Century City Doctor's Hospital. It was later reported that due to the building layout, Britney Spears had simply taken a wrong turn and wound up at the ER. A source close to Britney revealed to Access Hollywood that the false reports gave the Spears family a scare, though she was simply visiting dentist-to-the-stars, Dr. Billy Dorfman, to fix a bad tooth. Larry Rudolph tells Access Hollywood, "This is getting so ridiculous. Every time she sneezes it's front page news. Everyone needs to just leave her alone right now and give her some space."
Access Hollywood also found another detail of the earlier stories to be untrue, as they reported that the police were forced to swarm the area for crowd control due to a host of paparazzi visiting the hospital. AH found no such crowd at the scene.
Britney Spears was also seen over the weekend attending an advanced hip-hop dance class at the Millennium Dance Complex and dining out with three girlfriends at Sushi House Unico in Bel Air on Friday. On Saturday, Britney had her nails done at Epitome Salon and ended the weekend attending services at the Bel Air Presbyterian Church and having lunch at the Barefoot Café.
In related news, while Britney was enjoying her freedom in Los Angeles her ex-husband, Kevin Federline was in Las Vegas celebrating his 29th birthday at the Pure nightclub at Caesar's Palace. Kevin reportedly partied with his father, mother, brother, and ex-girlfriend, Shar Jackson. Britney and Kevin's two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James were also in Las Vegas at the time, but stayed in the hotel room and didn't join in the festivities. Kevin was also presented with a cake by The Pussycat Dolls.
The biological mother of Angelina Jolie's newly adopted son, Pax Thien Jolie, has started making headlines less than a week after Jolie headed home with Pax, Maddox and Zahara in tow. London's News of the World has published an interview with the child's biological grandfather, who says his daughter will likely try to extort money from Angelina Jolie one she finds out her child was adopted by a Hollywood superstar.
Chien Dung, 55, spoke to the News of the World about his daughter, Pham Thu Dung, 29, who is Pax Thien's biological mom. Chien claims that his daughter abandoned her child just two days after she gave birth to him. As Chien tells the News of the World, "Our daughter is a heroin addict and she is a bag of trouble. Her life has been ruled by drugs since she was 16. She disappears for months on end. Then just when you think you will never see her again, she's back. But we only ever see her when she wants money."
That could be bad news for Angelina Jolie, who recently adopted Pham's child from an orphanage outside of Ho Chi Minh City. Chien fears that when his daughter, "finds out that a rich movie star has adopted her baby, she will go after Angelina Jolie for money and make trouble for her. She may even try to take the child back." As Pham Thu Dung did not sign the adoption papers that gave Angelina Jolie custody of newly-named Pax Thien Jolie, the legality of the adoption is in dispute. It was Chien, Pham's father, who signed the adoption papers giving Jolie custody of the child. As Pax's biological grandmother, Nhan Dung, said, "We are delighted he has gone to such a wonderful home."
However, Nhan added that, "But my daughter is very smart - and she is also very stubborn, wayward and difficult." As Chien Dung said of his own daughter, she "disappears for months on end. Then just when you think you will never see her again, she's back. But we only ever see her when she wants money." That may be exactly when Angelina Jolie receives a phone call from Pham, when the money becomes an issue. Pham is also likely to be an issue from Brad Pitt, who is expected to adopt Pax Thien Jolie as he has done with Angelina Jolie's two other adopted children: Maddox and Zahara.
Ironically, Pham Thu Dung was at her parents home the day the adoption agency came to see about the baby. However, rather than identifying herself as the child's mother, Pham chose anonymity in the situation instead. "She just sat in the corner, pretending to knit. She did not say a word and showed absolutely no emotion. She listened hard when the director told us her boy was going to have a good life, and that he was lucky he was going to live with this rich American woman. Then she disappeared. She was still hooked on drugs and we told her we had had enough. We have not seen her since that day."
Pham's sister, Trang, said in the interview that "After the orphanage man visited, Dung wanted to go to there to look for her son but she didn't know what he looked like. I persuaded her not to go." British fashion label Monsoon is reportedly searching for a new spokeswoman after a #1 million ($1.95 million) modeling contract with Elizabeth Hurley failed to increase profits for the design house.
Hurley, who recently married businessman Arun Nayar in a number of ceremonies in the UK and India, is apparently "too mumsy" (mother-like) for the label who normally target a younger, more bohemian market.
A source tells British newspaper The Sunday Mirror, "The label has started investigating possible replacements for Liz.
"We had a disappointing period before Christmas and hoped that signing Liz would improve the figures. While the disappointing profits aren't Liz's fault, the company wants to shake things up and get back to its core market.
"People have suggested that Liz's image is too mumsy. She's also a bit too refined for Monsoon, which sells boho-chic clothes rather than tight jeans and low-cut tops."

The Oscar winner has spent time and money attempting to perfect her game, but she's still struggling to "get my brain around it".
Model boyfriend GABRIEL AUBRY is a big help because he's a fan of the sport and a very good golfer, but Berry fears she'll never become one of the boys on the course.
Berry uses old jeans to stay in shape:
She says, "I'm not good at it and it eats me that I can't master it. I even had lessons with DAVID LEADBETTER, one of the best instructors in the world.
"I just want to be a decent golfer and have the guys be happy that I'm with them, not like, 'Oh, damn, here comes Halle.'"

Yes, that's right - Britney's back in a big way! After a brush-up session at the Millennium Dance Studio last night, Britney headed over to the Beverly Glen Mall for a nice sushi dinner - a fairly normal night for Britney, right down to the eager presence of the paparazzi. But when she emerged from the restaurant, we couldn't believe our eyes - Britney had gone blue!
It should go without saying that Britney's new blue look is the product of contact lenses; Promises may have effected some radical changes, but surely they couldn't have been that radical. Moreover, it's also clear that Britney's blues don't run any deeper than the surface - as these pictures show, everything else about her is just as rosy as ever!

Following the tragic death of Anna Nicole Smith, fans have attempted to catch a glimpse into the life of one of America's most followed celebrities. Tour groups have added Anna Nicole Smith's Bahamian mansion to their list of sights in the small Caribbean nation, her grave has garnered a significant amount of attention, and now her diary is the most recent hot-ticket item. The private ramblings of Anna Nicole Smith, pertaining to everything from men to sex to partying and even her dead cat, has been sold to a German man for more than half a million dollars, according to an auction house official.
The personal diaries of Anna Nicole Smith, one from 1992 and the other from 1994, have been sold on eBay for a hefty chuck of money. The 1992 diary was sold for $282,500 while the 1994 diary raked in $230,000, as well as a 20 percent buyer's premium. CNN has reported that the buyer of the Anna Nicole Smith diaries was an anonymous German businessman who plans to sell the information contained in the diaries to various media outlets. After selling tidbits of information to the highest-bidding outlets, Monsters and Critics reports that the auction winner will likely resell the diaries before year's end.
The auction company that facilitated the eBay sale has said that the "soap opera value" of the Anna Nicole Smith scribblings could be worth more than $1 million on its own, including the rights to publish scanned images of the diary pages. The 1992 diary is said to contain 26 separate entries from January to August, whereas the 1994 journal contains 30 such entries, spanning from January to July. One excerpt released to the media features Anna Nicole Smith writing about her ailing husband, J. Howard Marshall II, as she scribbled, "My husbands very weak. Theres nothing I can do. I want each hour to comfort him with medicines and prayers."
According to Jeff Woolf, co-partner and auction director at Universal Rarities in Corona, California, told the media that the two diaries were found a few years ago by a man cleaning out a Los Angeles-area house where Anna Nicole Smith had stayed while filming a project. The man then sold the two diaries to a memorabilia collector that owns a shop on Hollywood Boulevard. Following the death of Anna Nicole Smith on Feb. 8, the collector came forward with the diaries, wanting to sell them via auction. Woolf told Reuters that the demand for Anna Nicole Smith memorabilia has been overwhelming. "I don't think I've had the luck of being in such a situation, where the timing was really that perfect as far as the peak of someone's popularity in the news." As for the anonymous buyer, Woolf said, "The gentleman who bought them required to be anonymous but I can tell you he is from Germany and has the intention of making a book out of them and doing some things in the publishing world."
Autopsy results which will detail the cause of death of Anna Nicole Smith will be made public on Monday. Since Smith's death, a bitter paternity battle has broken out over the former Playboy Playmate's daughter, Dannielynn.

The British beauty admits her smooching was "overenthusiastic", and love-scene veteran Cruise was forced to take Newton to a nearby monitor to play back the sequence.
Speaking on UK TV show Friday Night With Jonathan Ross Friday, she said, "We did this scene where we had to kiss passionately at the end, and he stopped and said, 'Oh God, that was terrible. Come here and look.' And it was because I was so overenthusiastic. So it became very clinical by the end and there was a huge skill (involved)"

These Are The some shots of lindsay Lohan when she is in Hotel. For someone who , caught slipping into a hotel with James Blunt at three in the morning, Lindsay sure was looking vivacious yesterday! Celebrity pals Denise Richards and Pamela Anderson have been named in a lawsuit filed by two photographers, who claim the actresses verbally and physically abused them. In a lawsuit, filed yesterday in Los Angeles, snappers Scott Cosman and Rik Fedyck allege Richards raged when she spotted the photographers taking snapshots of her on the set of upcoming movie Blonde & BLonder last year.
According to the lawsuit, Richards spent 20 minutes hurling abuse at the two men and physically assaulted them at the River Rock Casino Resort in Vancouver, Canada. The plaintiffs claim Richards then "snatched their laptop computers from their hands, and threw them over the (hotel) balcony," adding one of the computers allegedly struck "an elderly woman in a wheelchair."
Canadian police investigated the incident and decided it "wasn't in the best public interest to bring criminal charges" against the actress.
In the lawsuit, Cosman and Fedyck claim Richards and Anderson, her Blonde & Blonder co-star, then falsely told the Royal Canadian Mounted Police that the photographers "had engaged in criminal activity." As a result, they were arrested and held by authorities for "approximately three days."
The paparazzi pair is suing both women for assault, battery, defamation, false arrest and a slew of other charges.
Vida Guerra opted to bare all for men's magazine Playboy to prove that Internet images of her naked were bogus. The curvy model-turned-actress snubbed offers to strip for magazines several times before she agreed to a Playboy spread last year. Fake snapshots of her made her feel it was time to bare all and show fans the real Guerra.
She explains, "They (Playboy) had asked me three times (and) I got a little upset about the situation. They were making such a big deal about it that I said, `I might as well take Playboy up on their offer and do it in a nice, classy, tasteful way, since everyone is so curious to see how I look in my birthday suit."
And Guerra urges fans not to get duped by fake nude shots in the future, insisting they should look for her beauty marks.
She tells King magazine, "I have a beauty mark that tells. You can compare the real thing with the (bogus) picture and it's like, `Nah!' You can't see it in the Playboy spread because there is no open-crotch (shot). One is below my navel and the other is in my inner thigh."

Winslet explains, "You'd see them (photographers) hiding in the trees and try desperately to ignore them because you don't want your child affected by it.
"It's weird and freaky. You just don't want someone you don't know taking a photograph of your small child. It's sick.
"It's better in New York. New Yorkers are much more respectful, not just the press but the people."

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE has slammed reports he's considering a reconciliation with troubled ex-girlfriend BRITNEY SPEARS, insisting the tabloids are making too much of his plans to help with her career.
The CRY ME A RIVER singer has reportedly left messages of support for Spears and written the fallen pop star a letter as she completes rehab treatment in Malibu, California, but he's firm about any reunion plans, insisting that part of his life is "over".
Timberlake blames the media's fascination with his and Spears' lives for the latest rumours.
He says, "They create soap operas out of people's lives. We had our thing and it's over."
Troubled pop star BRITNEY SPEARS has agreed to hand KEVIN FEDERLINE a massive $19 million (GBP10 million) divorce settlement, according to reports.
Four months after splitting, the pair have reached an agreement over joint custody of their two sons, 18-month-old SEAN PRESTON and JAYDEN JAMES, six months - and a financial deal which will make Federline a wealthy man.
According to British newspaper The Sun, Spears' was driven to finalise the divorce during her spell in rehab to treat substance abuse.
